"Tiny", a life-long resident of Bryan County, was born in Milburn, Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1911, to William Cullon and Mary Etter (Harrelson)

Covington. She married Veach Lyday, June 7, 1930, in Durant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Veach Lyday, April 17, 1994; brothers, Thurman, Williard Raymond and Delno Covington;

sister, Edith White and an aunt, Mary Truman.

be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2019. The daughter of Delno and Gracie Bell (Allen) Covington, Mary was born on July 22, 1935

in Durant, Oklahoma. Mary worked as an assistant manager at Dairy Queen when she was younger, but after that, she began working at the

Holiday Inn in Norman. She started out as the salad bar worker but worked her way up to head chef and breakfast hostess. She worked at

Holiday Inn, which is now Super 8 for 55 years until December 2018 when her health required she retire.

Mary was a great cook and had been complimented throughout the years by many staying at the Holiday Inn, including celebrities Elvis and

Willie Nelson. Mary had lots of really good friends. She made friends quickly wherever she was, whether it was at work, home or the

hospital. Mary also enjoyed working in the garden with flowers and vegetables. Family was very important to Mary and she loved spending

time with them. Mary is survived by her 3 children, DeAnna Shook and husband Danny, Belinda Skaggs, and Kenneth Skaggs; 1

granddaughter, Shanain Kemp and husband Steve; 3 great grandchildren, Brittany Crook and husband Jacob, Cody Scoles and wife

Amber, and Alicia Kielich and husband Kyle; sister, Sue Ozment; sister-in-law, Faye Belle Covington; and a host of nieces, nephews and

Covington passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 1 2020, in Springtown Texas at the age of 86. He was born on March 14, 1934,

to Raymond and Ruby (Warden) Covington, oldest of three sons.

Lynn worked on the family farm and the family BBQ café in Durant, Oklahoma. Lynn graduated from Nida School and served in the Army

National Guard. In his early years he worked in the oil fields in Southern Oklahoma but settled in west Ft Worth working at Swift Edible Oil

and managing his rental properties.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, a son Billy Wayne Covington and by a brother W C Covington.

He is survived by his children, Theresa (Robert) Caudle, Jo Ann Hughes, Terry Covington (Emmett Coble). 4 Grandchildren; 7 Great

grandchildren; Brother Duane Covington (Paula Coonrod).

Lynn would be the first to tell you that he was by no means a saint, but all who knew him found he had a generous heart and a giving spirit.

As a young man Lynn worked hard and played even harder with a zest for life. He enjoyed telling about picking up and delivering moonshine

for the local Nida farmers, throwing it out the window when he thought he was going to be stopped. He loved fast cars and by the grace of

God lived through some horrible wrecks. With that cowboy hat tilted just right and a cigar in hand he loved and appreciated women and they

loved him.

Even up in years as his health declined and his body was wearing out, he still had that magic charm. He took care of his renters like they

were family, giving them hams at Thanksgiving and Christmas, giving them extra time to pay rent, and giving them rides when they had no

transportation. He took pride being The World’s Best Landlord. There was never a Trades Day, Flea Market, Garage Sale or Salvage Yard

Chris Delon Covington of Calera, Oklahoma passed from this life on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the age of 56 years 5 months and 12 days.

He was born on Friday, October 28, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Billy Chris and Patricia (Wells) Covington.

Chris was owner of Mail Tech LLC. He enjoyed going to yard sales, garage sales and helping others. He enjoyed listening to Elvis. Chris

attended the First Baptist Church of Durant and was a fan of Lincoln cars.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Covington and son-in-law, Sheldon Puga of The Colony, Texas; son, Hayden Covington of

Calera, Oklahoma; mother, Pat Williams and husband, Bobby of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers, Shawn Covington of Flower Mound, Texas

and Kelly Covington of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Ava Puga of The Colony, Texas; mother of his children, Mary Covington of Dallas,

Texas; special friend, Patricia Dewbre of Mead, Oklahoma; uncles, Duane Covington of Nida, Oklahoma and Lynn Covington of Ft. Worth,

Texas; four step-sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Mr. Covington was preceded in death by his father, Billy Covington.

Services for Mr. Covington will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 13, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Durant with Bro. James Robinson

anyone who would walk through the door, knowing she would always be there for them. She loved to cook, some of the things her family will

remember her for will be her cornbread and gravy.

Patricia is survived by her son, Kelly Covington of Garland, Texas, son, Shawn Covington of Flower Mound, Texas, son, Joshua Covington

of Durant, Oklahoma, and daughter, Jordan Covington of Durant, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Elizabeth Covington of Plano, Texas, Hayden
