reads "W A Covington died at the home of his son, J Q Covington, in this
city, Christmas day, after a short illness, at the ripe old
age of 75
years 6 months and 21 days. Funeral services were held at the Covington home in
southwest Duncan, Dec 27 and interment was
in Duncan
cemetery, the arrangements being in charge of the I.O.O.F lodge.
Mr
Covington was one of our best citizens and had resided wouthwest of town for a
number of years. He had been a member of Odd
Fellows
lodge for nearly 50 years and lived up to the tenents of the order. Many
friends over the county will learn of his death with keenest
sorrow."

survived by their three children, Susan I. Pope of Tyler, John W. Covington of
Spring, and Shirley C. McManus of Pine Mills. Also,
grandchildren,
Richard M. Crutchfield, Mark A. Crutchfield, both of Tyler; David Pope of
Tyler; Gina K. Gross of Orange, TX, Kassandra K.
