From Highway.5 take Highway 299 west to Weaverville (approx. 42
miles). Take Highway 3 North (approx. 25 miles). You will see Covington Mill
on your right - immediately to your left is Long Canyon Rd., Wendy's Creekside
Hideaway is approximately 1 mile up on the left hand side.
Named after the Saw Mill that was established by brothers Guy and Virgil Covington, who came to the area near Trinity Center from the Washington State area in the late 1800s. In the 1950s when Disneyland was being constructed, much of the wood was milled here in Trinity to build the Magic Kingdom.. Many worker and family cabins survive today from the turn of the century.
